Enjoy the delicious culinary creations of our Chefs Seth Bateman and Patti Vanderlyn. Rose Hill's Chef Seth has been trained by many of the best chefs in California. Chef Seth came to Rose Hill in 2007, after leaving The Restaurant at Meadowood Resort, which has just been awarded the Michelin Two Star designation. The Meadowood Resort is in Napa Valley and is a AAA Four Diamond, Mobil Four Star, Relais and Chateau property. There, Seth was trained by Chef Joe Humphries. Seth attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. After that, Seth spent two years at The Lodge at Torrey Pines (a AAA Five Diamond, Mobil Four Star Property) where he learned all the stations of the kitchen from Chefs Steve Riemer and Chef Tim Kalanko. Seth also worked at the famed Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego in their fine dining restaurant - The Prince of Wales.
Patti is one of the owners of Rose Hill and is the breakfast chef. We prepare
all our multiple-course breakfasts from scratch and they feature such delights as homemade blueberry muffins and homemade apple spice bread, Eggs Benedict, vanilla/cinnamon
French toast, and frittatas with tomato/corn salsa.
Both Seth and Patti work hard to find local products that can be combined with specialties from around the world to provide wonderful cuisine in a relaxed and friendly, but also luxurious environment.
Both breakfast and dinner are served at private tables, just like any upscale restaurant, and room service is available for either (for a nominal fee).
